Coronavirus Update: The UK Scraps Its 20-Percent VAT on Digital Books - from Publishing Perspective

The UK has been placing a 20% VAT (value added tax) on ebooks, but because of the virus, something good has happened: it's gone. The USA does not have this tax, there is only a sales tax on ebooks in Connecticut that I know of.  If you are stuck at home ebooks are a safe and easy alternative, and far better than TV.

I have two ebooks available online (Mooncalf poetry collection and Dreams of Dreams fiction collection) for free from Richmond Public Library and three available for purchase on my Wanderlust website. Hole in the Bone and Land of Three Houses are available in the UK with no VAT.
