The Hole in the Bone

An adventure fantasy set in ancient East Turkestan, also known as Xinjiang China and The Land of Fruits and Melons. This exotic region is a melt of Asian, Uyghur, and ancient cultures where the Tarim Basin mummies were discovered. Travel 4,000 years back in time through The Hole in the Bone.

An archaeologist is hired by the Regional Museum of Xinjiang (East Turkestan) to discover the Lost City of Shamadu. Caught in a sandstorm in the Taklamakan Desert, he stumbles upon the tomb of an ancient shaman who transports him 4000 years back in time through a bone talisman. He emerges through the hole in the bone to Shamadu incarnated as the shaman, Tok Ma, enduring physical hardships and fighting mythological demons in the Kunlun Mountains to find Fenghuang, the all-knowing simurgh who is a friend of mankind. Fenghuang reveals that Lord Xie Pu will soon die and enslave the souls of his subjects for eternity in the hallows of the Kunlun. Tok Ma must save them but will fail in his mission. He will be given a second chance to succeed in another life as Nick Taylor.
